Profiles of New Obuchi Cabinet Members

Prime Minister Keizo Obuchi reshuffled his Cabinet on October 5. The new Cabinet is a coalition of the Liberal Democratic Party, the Liberal Party and the New Komeito. Kiichi Miyazawa, Finance Minister, and Taichi Sakaiya, Director-General of the Economic Planning Agency, will remain at their posts. The following are the profiles of the members of this Cabinet.
